TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY WITH STUDENTS?
Faculty travel abroad with graduate students for workshops or field research may not always think about university policies concerning student travel. College International reminds faculty that they must receive approval when traveling abroad with students. The Office of Overseas Study has a short form that can be used for certain types of student travel (conferences, research, performances, brief visits).
STATE DEPARTMENT TRAVEL ADVISORIES
In addition to worldwide travel cautions regarding COVID-19, the U.S. State Department provides travel advisories and warnings about each country. IU has updated policies in regard to travel to countries (or regions of countries) with a specific caution. Consult the policies when planning all overseas travel -- group or individual travel, for undergraduate or graduate students.
Additional Communications
Faculty and staff with appointments in the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies; The Media School, and the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design should be sure to consult and work with their associate dean if they are interested in pursuing institutional grants or international exchanges or partnerships.
