Rebecca Skalla

Graduate Student, Chemistry

Biography

Rebecca is from Denver, Colorado and enjoys spending time with her cat (Charlie). Before she enrolled in the chemistry PhD program, she served in AmeriCorps and Peace Corps. Through AmeriCorps, Rebecca served in an elementary school to support and advocate for marginalized students. She served in the Peace Corps as a TEFL volunteer to promote gender equity in the classroom. Rebecca is excited to be involved with the DIACC and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice at IU.
